Koh Chang is a perfect hideaway for nature lovers. The largest in a group of 47 islands belonging to the Koh Chang National Marine Park, Koh chang it is acclaimed for its pristine rain forests and stunning marine life. Lush, green and mountainous, the island has a multitude of natural treasures which visitors can explore.
Apart from taking advantage of the soft white sand beaches, more adventurous guests can enjoy hiking in the rain forests, elephant trekking, fishing, sailing, snorkling and diving. Day trips to the surrounding islands can easily be arranged and there are two multi-level waterfalls with refreshing pools to swim in.
Once a traditional fishing village, Bang Bao is both a facinating place to get an insight into the island's fishing comunity and a fun place to explore local shops and seafood restaurants. The buildings are raised above the water on wooden stilts and many of the local fishing vessles are anchored nearby.
