The Maekok River Village Resort is idyllically located on the banks of the Mae Kok River with sweeping views across the water, to the forested hills which form the border with Myanmar. The peaceful, rural setting makes an ideal getaway for those wanting to escape the usual city tourist traps. For the interested and adventurous, the resort makes an excellent jumping off point for discovering Northern Thailand, so different from the bright lights of Bangkok and Chiang Mai or the teeming resorts of Phuket or Pattaya. However, there are also numerous activities available at the resort itself, allowing guests to fill their days with a variety of experiences.
The resort is managed by Bryan and Rosie Massingham who, co-own the MRVR Company with Shane and Sriphun Beary, who also own and manage Track of the Tiger Tours which is based in Chiang Mai. Originally from the U.K., Bryan and Rosie have spent the last 22 years in Asia and look forward to welcoming you to the MRVR.

The Riverside Bar and Restaurant have been designed and built in traditional style using bamboo and rice straw thatch. Overlooking the water with wonderful views across to the hills, and into the distance down river, it is a memorable place for guests to enjoy their meals.
Breakfasting, as the sun burns off the early morning mist and lifts the chill, is as magical as sipping a pre-dinner cocktail, watching the colours on the surrounding hills change from green to gold as the sun sets.
Our extensive menu provides diners with a wide choice of Thai and Northern Thai specialities, and western dishes and children?s specials are also available. Western or Thai style BBQs are always a favourite and special diets can be catered for. With a little notice, a reception or party can be arranged.
The Old Rice Mill Bar: With various reminders of rural Thailand in its décor, this bar is popular venue, particularly on the colder winter evenings, or when summer downpours force guests away from the Riverside!

| Standard Facilities: Air-Conditioning, Minibar, Room Service, Satellite TV, Tea & Coffee Making Facilities, Telephone, Terrace Poolside Suite: Poolside Suites are 40 sqm with a verandah facing the pool. Although designed primarily for 2 people, the suites will take an extra bed and have a connecting door to the next suite to enable suites to be easily modified to accommodate a family of 5-6 people.
